LAMY, the premium retail brand of writing instruments, is excited to be co-sponsoring this year’s Promotional Products Week and has been involved in several activities in the run up to the event.
The activities include the creation of a limited edition LAMY gift-set offered to distributors during Promotional Products Week at a very special price.
The set, which is presented in a unique metal gift box, includes the best-selling LAMY Logo ballpen, which is made of stainless steel with a matt finish, and the LAMY Logo mechanical pencil, which is also made of stainless steel but features a brushed finish.
Another initiative, to tie-in with the colour scheme for Promotional Products Week, has been the production of hundreds of hot pink Safari rollerballs, all branded up with the date of the event and the website. These have been included within press packs that were sent out to the editors of major broadsheet and tabloid titles in order to drive further awareness of the event.
In addition, the branded pens are to be given out to the Institute of Promotional Marketing, the Direct Marketing Association and a leading marketing magazine during a series of visits by design students, accompanied by the BPMA, to highlight the power of promotional merchandise. LAMY is also offering prizes as part of the Deskie challenge that is running throughout the week, where members of the public can send pictures of their desk into the BPMA for the chance to win £1000 of desk accessories and be named ‘Desk of the Year.’
LAMY was founded in 1930 and has developed from a small writing instrument factory in Heidelberg to a market leader for writing instruments in Germany whose products have a unique global status. The understated design of LAMY pens makes them unmistakable and there are now around 23 different series of pens in the range, with approximately 200 models. LAMY has been awarded numerous prizes for its outstanding design performance including the Red Dot Design Award, Good Design Award and iF Design Award.
Some of its most popular writing instruments include:
The LAMY Pico ballpoint
The LAMY Pico ballpoint is an innovative, stylish writing instrument of the highest quality which won the ‘Most Innovative Product’ category at the BPMA Awards. The metal ballpoint pen is available in a choice of matt black, blue, red or unpolished chrome and features a unique lift mechanism which extends it from pocket to writing size in one smooth action. A special giftset edition is also available containing a polished chrome Pico with high-grade leather pouch in a sleeved presentation box.
The LAMY Safari
The Safari range has a contemporary minimalist design and is robust, functional and recognisable. Available as a fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint and mechanical pencil, the Safari features an ergonomically-shaped grip to assist the natural, relaxed positioning of the fingers and enable relatively long periods of writing without any fatigue. It is available in a range of striking colours including yellow, blue, red and black and features an eye-catching, spring-operated metal clip.
